Description

Techpoint Startup School is focused on the African founder and entrepreneur. The objective is to educate business owners from Nigeria and Africa on how to build scalable businesses out of the continent. In the month of March, we'd be running the Startup School for early-stage founders.

The 3-day immersive classes will focus on how founders typically at the early stage of their business can;

  • Search for co-founders
  • Create a founding team
  • Learn organisational structure
  • Set up an advisory board
  • Choose (or decide when to bring in) board of directors
  • Learn how to position to raise Pre-Seed to Series A funding
  • Understand equity structuring
  • Understand the concept of vesting
  • Learn team stock option
  • Get ready to pitch
  • Set up a media kit
  • Reach out to journalists
  • Organise events for their young company

As business owners and companies struggle to compete in an increasingly technological economy, it is paramount that African founders are equipped with the right structures and processes for the proper growth of their businesses.
