I have read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also watched the Danish film and found it appealing. Initially, I was somewhat doubtful about a third adaptation, but it truly succeeds. The cast is outstanding, and while the storyline adheres to the book, it introduces enough alterations to create a fresh experience. My only initial letdown was the portrayal of Akram. He wasn't nearly as funny as he was in the book, but I must confess that he grew on me, and I believe this interpretation is effective. Carl, Rose, and Hardy are all excellent. The actors fully embrace their roles. Once I stopped drawing comparisons to the book and simply relished the show, I realized that this would be a fantastic series. https://www.metooo.io/e/dept-q-series-my-honest-review
